I would like to tell you about my “puppy” Otto.  I say “puppy”, but Otto will be 5 in October.  Last April Otto began limping after exercise.  As far as we knew he had no injury to his leg.  It was even difficult to tell which leg he was having difficulty with the way he was walking.  I took him to the vet and they suggested x-rays and some blood work to see what was going on.  The x-rays showed no fracture or problem with the bones and the blood tests were negative.  The only treatment would be painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs and see how he responded.  I was not in favor of giving Otto medication if there was the possibility of another therapy.

Otto was a regular at Mill Pond Kennels daycare program.  Dr. Thayer at Mill Pond gave me a second opinion and recommended Dr. Leah to me as an alternative to drug therapy.  I have had personal experience with Chiropractic care and knew the benefits for people, so I had hope that Otto could be treated without the need for medication.  Otto is a little timid around new people, but he took to Dr. Leah’s gentle style quickly and soon was giving her puppy kisses.  Otto responded to the chiropractic adjustment and laser therapy immediately at the first treatment.  I saw great improvement over the next several visits and now we are on a maintenance schedule to keep him in great shape.

I can’t thank Dr. Leah enough for helping Otto without the need for medicating him.  He’s been back to daycare and enjoying playing with his “puppy friends”.
